ADAC Ecotest: Five stars for Fiat Grande Panda Electric

The automobile club ADAC has awarded the new Fiat Grande Panda Electric the highest rating of five stars in the Ecotest. The Italian small car achieved 91 points in the test criteria of pollutant emissions and fuel consumption. This makes the new Fiat Grande Panda Electric the third electric model from the Italian brand to receive a five-star rating in the ADAC Ecotest. In the Ecotest, the ADAC determines the actual pollutant emissions while driving in the WLTP cycle. The engineers also calculate the so-called well-to-wheel balance for the fuel required, which also takes into account pollutants produced during production and transport. This allows vehicles that “refuel” with electricity – like the Fiat Grande Panda Electric – to be objectively compared with combustion engine models. The engine of the new Fiat Grande Panda Electric produces 83 kW (equivalent to 113 hp). The lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 44 kWh. It gives the five-door car a combined range of up to 320 kilometers (according to the WLTP cycle). The extendable spiral cable makes charging particularly convenient. It is optionally available in combination with a single-phase 7 kW onboard charger. The onboard charger provides a charging power of 11 kW as standard. At appropriately equipped charging stations, the new Fiat Grande Panda Electric can even draw power at up to 100 kW.

The new Fiat Grande Panda Electric is ideal for everyday use by families in urban environments. With its compact dimensions – just 3.99 meters long – it comfortably seats up to five people. Generous storage compartments accommodate everyday items, such as the 13-liter compartments in the dashboard. The trunk is also above average, with a capacity of 1,315 liters with the rear seat folded down. It is offered in the LA PRIMA and (RED) trim levels. A highlight of the LA PRIMA version is the use of BAMBOX Bamboo Fiber Tex® in the interior. This textile material consists of about one-third bamboo fibers, which give parts of the dashboard trim a natural look.
