Josep Maria Recasens has been the new CEO of Ampere since 1 April. The former Chief Operations Officer succeeds Luca de Meo, who has held this position in addition to his role as CEO of the Renault Group since Ampere was founded on 1 November 2023. Recasens joined car manufacturer SEAT S.A. in 2002 and held various positions in research and development, product planning and international project management before being appointed SEAT’s Director of Strategy, Secretary General and Director of Public Affairs. In June 2021, he joined Renault Group as Senior Vice President for Strategy and Business Development. He oversees the implementation of the Renaulution strategy and contributes in particular to the implementation of the company’s partnership strategy. At the beginning of 2023, he was appointed Chief Strategy Officer and member of the Renault Group Leadership Team, taking over the management of the Iberian Peninsula countries. Following the creation of Ampere on 1 November 2023, Josep Maria Recasens also became Chief Operating Officer of Ampere.
