Efficiency at the Eiffel Tower: Audi CEO Gernot Döllner unveils the A2 e-tron in Paris

Audi CEO Gernot Döllner unveiled the Audi A2 e-tron in Paris. It expands the brand’s model lineup with a fully electric entry-level model in the compact segment. The focus is primarily on efficiency: With energy consumption of just 12.8 kWh per 100 kilometers, the A2 e-tron is, according to Audi, the most efficient model the manufacturer has built to date. Combined with a drag coefficient of just 0.24, the electric Audi achieves a range of up to 646 kilometers according to the WLTP. This is designed to enable longer trips with fewer charging stops while also enhancing its suitability for everyday use.

With the A2 e-tron, Audi is also pursuing a new vision of premium electric mobility. Efficiency, intelligent technologies, and generous interior space should not be seen as mutually exclusive, but rather come together to form a comprehensive concept suitable for everyday use. The compact electric vehicle thus combines low energy consumption with digital connectivity and Audi’s signature standards of comfort and quality.

“The Audi A2 e-tron impressively demonstrates what our brand can achieve when we consistently focus on the essentials. It doesn’t require people to adapt their lives to electric mobility. It adapts electric mobility to their lives.” Döllner at the presentation of the A2 e-tron in Paris. Orders open on September 10, and deliveries begin in December. Starting price in Germany: 38,200 euros. www.audi.de
