The Lexus RZ celebrates its German premiere at the ATP tournament at Hamburg’s Rothenbaum (17 to 24 May). The comprehensively optimised Lexus RZ is prominently displayed in the Fan Zone on the Hamburg tournament grounds, where visitors can take part in a competition. A major innovation is the Lexus steer-by-wire system. It provides a new driving experience with smooth, simple and intuitive control, especially on winding roads. Also new in the performance flagship RZ 550e F SPORT is the Lexus Interactive Manual Drive, which simulates a classic eight-speed automatic transmission. It conveys the shift feel of a mechanical eight-speed gearbox, is operated via paddle shifters and enables the benefits of the powerful all-wheel drive to be optimally utilised. The electric drive system of the Lexus RZ has also been completely revised. The lithium-ion battery now offers a higher capacity of 77.0 kWh, providing an additional range of up to 100 kilometres (depending on model and subject to final homologation). Together with a new battery preconditioning function and a more powerful 22 kW AC onboard charger, the optimised battery also enables shorter charging times.
