BayWa Board of Management: Frank Hiller new CEO, Matthias J. Rapp new CFO

The Supervisory Board of BayWa AG has approved the appointment of Dr Frank Hiller as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Prof Dr Matthias J. Rapp as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both will be appointed to the Board of Management as of 1 March 2025. Hiller was CEO of Big Dutchman, the market leader in feeding and housing systems, until 2024. Prior to that, he was CEO of the listed company Deutz AG in Cologne for five years. Hiller has held various other board positions at Leoni, MAN Truck & Bus, Meiler and Thyssen-Krupp and successfully implemented a number of strategic transformation programmes. Hiller is an engineer and studied mechanical engineering at the University of Kaiserslautern.

Rapp was responsible for finance and controlling at TÜV SÜD until 2024. He began his professional career at the management consultancy Boston Consulting Group. In 1997, he moved into industry and has since worked for several companies as Chief Financial Officer, including automotive supplier Webasto. In summer 2021, Rapp was also appointed honorary professor by the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU). Rapp studied business administration at WHU Koblenz and other universities.

Gregor Scheller, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, said: ‘BayWa is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history. The company must become more robust and profitable in the long term and is once again focussing on its core business areas. We are therefore delighted to welcome the two new members of the Board of Management, who identify precisely with these goals.’
