Our journey back through the history of the eMove360° Award takes us to 2018 – and to a company whose technology has remained highly relevant ever since.
Blickfeld GmbH won the eMove360° Award 2018 in the category Automated Driving & Electronics with its innovative LiDAR technology.
At the time, Blickfeld’s key innovation was the scanner itself: manufactured from silicon using microfabrication technology, it was designed to make high-performance LiDAR sensors robust, scalable and suitable for mass-market applications.
What makes this winner especially interesting today is the journey since then.
Blickfeld has evolved from a young Munich technology company into an international provider of 3D LiDAR sensors and perception software for applications ranging from mobility and traffic monitoring to industry and security.
And in 2026, another important milestone followed: Blickfeld became part of Senstar Technologies, combining its 3D LiDAR expertise with Senstar’s global security technology portfolio.
A great example of why we enjoy looking back at our Award winners: innovations that were recognised at an early stage can develop into technologies with impact far beyond their original application.
