BMW is bringing electric mobility to the global stage of the Cannes Film Festival — demonstrating how premium mobility, AI, technology and lifestyle are increasingly merging into one seamless experience.
As official mobility partner, BMW is supporting the Cannes Film Festival for the fifth time, once again focusing on electrified premium vehicles. More than 150 vehicles, including the fully electric BMW i7 and BMW iX, are providing locally emission-free VIP transportation for filmmakers, guests and festival partners along the Côte d’Azur.
At the center of attention is the European public premiere of the new BMW 7 Series. The luxury flagship introduces several “Neue Klasse” technologies into a production vehicle for the first time — including the new BMW Panoramic iDrive, immersive digital user experiences, AI-powered driver assistance systems and BMW Symbiotic Drive.
BMW demonstrates how premium electric mobility is evolving into a holistic experience where design, digitalization, artificial intelligence and sustainable mobility increasingly converge.
Numerous international personalities from film, art and culture are also shaping BMW’s presence in Cannes this year. Alongside Cannes Film Festival President Iris Knobloch, Emmy-nominated producer and entrepreneur Mehret Mandefro and BMW Art Car artist Julie Mehretu are among the featured guests. German actor Lars Eidinger is also expected to be part of the prominent personalities surrounding the festival and BMW events on the French Riviera.
Another highlight is BMW’s growing connection between mobility, art and film culture: the company is expanding its “BMW Art Makers” program into the film sector to support emerging creative talent and future cinematic formats.
The convergence of AI, user experience, design and premium electric mobility is the key topic at eMove360° Europe 2026.
