China Partner Country to eMove360° Europe 2017

Leading nation in electro-mobility raises profile of international trade fair.

Innovation and growth – these are the fields in which China, partner country to eMove360° Europe 2017 – the world’s largest trade fair for Mobility 4.0 – electric, networked and autonomous, that takes place in October 2017 in Munich, is making a name for itself. With more than 40 companies exhibiting, China will showcase itself to the international specialist audience as an attractive technology and trade partner. Whereas in Germany, discussions are still going on about electric cars, China is making them reality. In terms of production and demand, the country has risen to become the market leader.

“We are extremely happy to welcome China as a partner country to eMove360° in October” says Robert Metzger, CEO of MunichExpo Veranstaltungs GmbH and organiser of eMove360°. The decision to welcome a partner country means that we have now added a country-specific focus to the key topical spectrum.

Metzger continues, “China will be exhibiting on some 1,000 square meters of space. Nowhere in the world does urbanisation progress so rapidly as in China. The People’s Republic is pushing forward at a rapid pace, especially in electro-mobility: 43 percent of all electric cars were built in China last year and over 500,000 were sold in 2016, which is 50% more than in 2015. What’s more, every fourth battery cell and every third electric motor comes from China. With BYD, the country is home to the largest manufacturer of e-cars anywhere in the world. China also ranks amongst the world’s leading technology nations when it comes to networking and autonomous driving. eMove360° represents an excellent platform for Chinese companies to exchange ideas and tap into new international markets. The fact that China is exhibiting also underlines the international importance of eMove360°.”

Companies scheduled to exhibit on the joint Chinese stand include: Busbar Sci-Tech Development, VAPEL Power Supply Co., Zencar Industry Co., SINCPOWER LI-ION Battery of China, Xindayang Electric Vehicles, Soundon New Energy Technology, EN-plus Technologies, Hoverbird Electronics Technologies and Ningbo Songke Magnetic Materials.

“Germany is China’s largest European trading partner by far, and, in turn, the People’s Republic is Germany’s most important trading partner in the Asia-Pacific region and Germany’s third largest trading partner worldwide. With China and Germany, we have two countries that complement each other well, especially in the area of new mobility,” Metzger continues.

The conference programme for the World Mobility Summit, which places in parallel over three days, also addresses mobility issues current in China today. Strategic orientation, the urbanisation of mega cities and new technologies for Mobility 4.0 make up the focus here.
