Continental’s Automotive division has appointed the current Head of Operations & Quality, Nino Romano, as its new CTO (Chief Technology Officer). Romano took up his new role on 1 February 2025. In the new CTO organisation, the Technology and Operations divisions will be united under the leadership of Nino Romano. Romano has been with Continental since 1993 and has built up in-depth knowledge in research, development and quality management during his career. After holding various positions in research and development and as Director of Customer Centre, he took over the role of Head of Development for Electronic Brake Systems in the Vehicle Dynamics business unit in 2011. Romano has been a member of the Management Board in the Automotive division since 2020, initially as Head of Quality & Environment and since 2024 responsible for Quality and Operations. Romano takes over the position of CTO from Gilles Mabire, who left the company at his own request in November 2024.
