Dacia presents roadmap for 2030 – a clear commitment to electric mobility

Romanian car manufacturer Dacia has presented its strategic roadmap for 2030, with a clear focus on electric mobility. Four new fully electric models are planned, as well as the consistent electrification of the entire model range.

The first step will be taken this year with a new electric vehicle in the A segment. It is based on the Renault Group’s AmpR Small platform and will be produced in Europe. According to Dacia, the vehicle was developed in less than 16 months and, with a starting price of less than €18,000, is intended to transfer typical brand values such as simple technology and affordable prices to electric mobility.

At the same time, Dacia intends to significantly expand the electrification of its model range. While around one in four vehicles sold is currently electrified, around two-thirds of the brand’s sales are expected to be electrified powertrains in the future. In addition to battery-electric vehicles, Dacia is also focusing on hybrid solutions.

Another step is the expansion of the range in the C segment. With the new Striker, Dacia is introducing an electrified lifestyle station wagon that combines plenty of space, increased ground clearance, and an aerodynamic silhouette. The 4.62-meter-long model is designed to make electrified mobility accessible to a wide audience. The model range includes a hybrid version and a hybrid 4×4.

With this strategy, Dacia aims to maintain its position as a provider of affordable mobility even in the age of electrification and to make electrified vehicles accessible to a broad customer base.
