Even in the lowest temperatures in Finland, DB Schenker‘s electric trucks have proven their reliability. Within a year, the logistics company has deployed two FUSO eCanter trucks, which have now braved two Finnish winters and are reliably in service for its customers. This shows that alternative drive systems can function efficiently even in low temperatures. In northern Finland, for example, they even work at temperatures as low as -30°C, as in Lapland near the Arctic Circle. The trucks are mainly used for regional and local transport. The versatility of the trucks allows DB Schenker to meet different customer needs in different regions. The robust design and advanced technology of the electric trucks ensure a continuous supply chain and reliable service for DB Schenker’s customers. The latest generation of the FUSO eCanter is used in Finland. These are charged overnight so they are ready for use the next day. DB Schenker has been using these trucks for transport, particularly on the last mile, since 2018. The logistics service provider currently operates around 50 FUSO eCanter trucks in various European countries, thus reaffirming its commitment to sustainable and innovative logistics solutions.
