MediaMarktSaturn CEO Karsten Wildberger can imagine selling electric cars in the electronics retailer’s German shops. Wildberger told the news portal t-online, referring to the experiences of European subsidiaries: ‘The Spanish and Italians are very successful in selling electric mobility in their stores, including electric cars. In Belgium, we operate a market that even only offers electric mobility.’
In the car country Germany, no German company has yet approached the dealer, Wildberger continues. ‘But I can say that we still have room for e-cars here too. That may be a dream of the future, but interesting projects could emerge,’ the manager told the news portal. Media Markt and Saturn have around 1,000 shops in Europe, 400 of which are in Germany.
