E.ON: Certified by TÜV SÜD as an energy transition company

As Germany’s largest energy supplier, E.ON is actively driving the energy transition and assuming responsibility in doing so. TÜV SÜD has now confirmed this: E.ON has received the demanding certification as an energy transition company. This award is based on a comprehensive audit that focused particularly on increasing the share of renewable energies, reducing energy consumption, and measures to increase system flexibility. The results clearly demonstrate: As a pioneer of the energy transition, E.ON is making an above-average contribution to the transformation of the energy system.

E.ON impresses with a green electricity mix and customer-oriented energy solutions: As an energy partner for more than 14 million customers across Germany, the electricity mix plays a central role in implementing the energy transition. In the TÜV SÜD assessment, E.ON significantly exceeds the requirements: Compared to the Germany-wide electricity mix, E.ON’s electricity has a higher share of renewable energies and significantly lower CO₂ emissions. Furthermore, the audit positively evaluated the company’s offerings for electromobility, heat pumps, and the development and implementation of flexibility solutions.

Strategically aligned toward a sustainable energy future: Certification as an energy transition company not only applies to the product portfolio, but also encompasses the entire corporate strategy. E.ON pursues clear goals to increase the share of renewable energies, reduce energy consumption, and make the energy system more flexible.
