With the delivery of further vehicles in September 2024, the logistics company Rhenus Home Delivery now has 300 electric lorries in its fleet. This will enable CO2-free delivery of IKEA shipments in Berlin. Rhenus Home Delivery had already realised the expansion of its electric truck fleet with 110 new vans in 2023. The company has now more than doubled this number and put a further 190 electric vehicles into operation this year. This means that models such as the Ford eTransit and the Iveco eDaily are now an integral part of the fleet. The e-trucks are in use throughout Germany. A particularly large number are currently in operation at the sites in the greater Berlin, Munich and Düsseldorf areas. Rhenus Home Delivery has also invested heavily in its charging infrastructure and has installed a total of 150 charging points at all its sites.
