The eMove Award jury has made its decision: The Ni90 noTP module from Farasis Energy is a 2024 finalist in the Battery & Powertrain category.
Farasis Energy, a leading supplier of high-performance lithium-ion pouch cells, has developed a module concept with its latest generation of cells (Generation 4) that prevents heat propagation. The performance of the modules has been tested and confirmed by independent laboratories at module and pack level. This significantly increases battery safety – an important advantage for OEMs in view of the increasingly stringent safety standards for electric cars. Industrial production of the customised modules is set to begin in 2025 and an upgrade from current battery packs to packs with customised models is possible without a change in production. The gravimetric energy density is 248 Wh/kg, the development target is 260 Wh/kg.
All finalists can be found at the eMove360° Exhibition at the Westin Grand from 15 to 17 October 2024. Book your ticket for the exhibition and the award ceremony on 15 October at 5 pm here.
The three-day eMove360° Future Mobility Conference 2024 will take place alongside the exhibition. A high-calibre networking meeting with the industry’s top decision-makers for electric and autonomous mobility. Experts from BMW, Bosch, DLRG, Eberspächer, Sixt, Vattenfall & Co. will speak about ground-breaking technologies and market trends. Book your conference pass here.
