A brilliant blue sky over the Hohe Tauern, mild days that invite you to go hiking, and nights when the first chill of autumn sets in—from mid-September through late October, the Indian Summer in the Gastein Valley shows off its colorful side. In Bad Hofgastein, the five-star nature and design hotel Das Goldberg is situated on a high plateau with panoramic views of the autumnal forests. During the day, guided tours with Christian take you through the mountains; back at the hotel, the natural swimming lake—heated by a heat pump—and the 22-meter-long infinity pool await. You can experience the season even more deeply during a yoga retreat. In the mornings, dynamic Vinyasa flows get the body moving; during the day, hikes alternate with relaxation at the Nature’s Nest spa and its saunas. In the evenings, Yin yoga sequences and guided meditations ensure a peaceful end to the day. Added to this is the daily Goldberg culinary experience, featuring regional products and homemade specialties. Most of the 65 spacious studios and suites offer views of the valley. E-bikes, e-scooters, and an Audi e-tron are available for rent for excursions in the surrounding area. A highlight for all winter sports fans: The Goldberg is the only hotel in the valley located directly on the ski slope.
