At the Bergergut, there are no children, no buffets, and no standard rooms – but plenty of nature, individuality, and a new wellness area. After a long forest bath in the heart of the Bohemian Forest, the path leads directly to the WaldSPA. The border region at the entrance to the Šumava National Park is unique. In the protected areas of the Bohemian Forest, vacationers discover typical ecosystems of the Central European mountain landscape, forests, and mountain meadows – a natural treasure right outside the hotel door!
From the forest bath to the WaldSPA: The focal point of the new WaldSPA is the indoor and outdoor pool. The lovingly landscaped garden houses a wooden outdoor sauna and many cozy relaxation areas. The scent of fresh herbs from the private garden leads directly to the sauna lounge with a SOLEUM tea and salt steam bath. The loungers by the water lily biotope in the middle of the lavender garden offer a special place to relax. Natural materials are the main protagonists, and the forest is considered a model for rest and relaxation. The SPA team pampers guests with a holistic energy massage and beauty treatment program.
Award-winning cuisine for foodies: Thomas Hofer, award-winning chef and host at the Bergergut, and his team celebrate the Mühlviertel region in a creative, sophisticated, and down-to-earth way, and are among the best chefs in the country. For hotel guests, the culinary delight begins with a served breakfast and homemade bread. The crowning conclusion to the day is a dinner from the award-winning cuisine: Depending on their mood, guests can choose between the 5-course “Mühlviertler Mund.Art” menu, the 8-course “Chef’s Table” menu, or one of the three “Pot & Brett” dishes.
