The EnBW HyperNetz now offers access to more than 700,000 charging points in 17 European countries. Customers can use the EnBW mobility+ app to find and use the more than 5,000 EnBW-owned charging points in Germany as well as charging points from hundreds of other charging infrastructure operators. EnBW already operates by far the largest fast-charging network in Germany and is consistently driving forward its expansion. EnBW aims to operate 30,000 fast-charging points in Germany by 2030 and is investing around €200 million a year to achieve this.
In 2017, the energy company made the first version of the EnBW mobility+ app available, at that time with access to 8,000 charging points in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The number of available charging points and connected countries in the EnBW HyperGrid has increased rapidly over the past seven years. The EnBW mobility+ app itself has also been further developed. In future, the focus will also be more on the data quality of the connected roaming partners so that customers can continue to charge reliably.
A large charging network without the right tools does not fulfill its purpose. For this reason, EnBW offers the multi-award-winning EnBW mobility+ app for download free of charge. The price display and price filter in the app were revised back in June 2024 so that customers can see the applicable kilowatt-hour prices transparently at any time before the start of the charging process at the selected charging point. A new feature is the proximity search. It makes it much easier for users to find and compare charging points and select the best one. In addition to the price filter, the new search function shows suitable charging points near the user’s own location or a specified address. Charging points can also be sorted by price and distance.
