EnBW relies on high-performance charging stations from Alpitronic

EnBW and Alpitronic conclude a strategic partnership for the further expansion of the fast charging infrastructure. As part of this cooperation, EnBW will also purchase several hundred charging stations from the South Tyrolean company. Its products have been used in the EnBW HyperNetz since 2018, including at the company’s largest fast-charging park at the Kamener Kreuz. This is equipped with 26 alpitronic hyperchargers – up to 52 drivers can charge ultra-fast at the same time. With an output of up to 300 kilowatts, the charging stations belong to the highest performance class on the market.

As Chief Sales and Operations Officer, Timo Sillober is responsible for the area of electromobility at EnBW. He explains: “Our customers expect highly reliable and powerful charging options. And we can offer you that with the state-of-the-art fast charging stations from alpitronic. Our partnership creates security for the further expansion of the charging network in a dynamic market environment.” Philipp Senoner, Managing Director at alpitronic, adds: “Our high-performance chargers are made for EnBW’s ambitious expansion strategy. As specialists in power electronics, we provide EnBW with the right product for expanding its fast-charging network. Our hypercharger line is the market leader and offers a future-proof solution for quickly providing e-cars with range.”

EnBW is moving at a fast pace in expanding the fast-charging infrastructure: while around 700 fast-charging locations are already in operation today, there should be 2,500 fast-charging locations by 2025. “On average, we open a new fast-charging location every day, and a fast-charging park every week. With alpitronic we have the right partner at our side,” says Sillober.
