With the updated Ford E-Tourneo Courier, Ford sharpens its offer in the growing segment of compact electric activity vehicles. Designed as a fully electric five-seater, the model combines everyday usability, family-friendly features and practical business versatility — now enhanced with a larger battery delivering up to 320 kilometres of range.
Range remains the key question for many first-time EV buyers. With up to 320 km (WLTP) on a full charge, the E-Tourneo Courier comfortably covers typical urban and suburban routines. A daily commute of 50 km, for example, would allow well over a week of driving before needing to recharge.
Fast-charging capability also supports flexibility: around 10 minutes at a 100 kW DC rapid charger can add more than 100 km of range, while a 10–80% charge takes under 30 minutes. At home or on an 11 kW AC charger, the same 10–80% top-up can be completed in just over three hours — ideal for overnight charging.
Through Ford’s collaboration with Electroverse, drivers gain access to more than one million public charging points across Europe, with route planning and charger availability integrated into the digital ecosystem.
Positioned as an “activity vehicle,” the E-Tourneo Courier bridges private and professional needs. Sliding rear doors make it easier to access tight parking spaces — a practical advantage for families with children or for professionals such as florists, bakers or dog walkers making frequent stops.
Inside, functionality takes centre stage. Two Isofix mounting points, generous rear door openings and a flexible load area make daily logistics simpler. A hidden compartment in the boot keeps wet or valuable items separate, while an additional storage box under the bonnet provides space for charging cables or smaller items. Folding rear seats allow objects over 1.4 metres in length to fit, expanding the vehicle’s versatility beyond typical city use.
The driving experience reflects the typical strengths of electric mobility: quiet operation, smooth acceleration and reduced mechanical complexity. A selectable one-pedal driving mode supports efficiency in urban traffic by recuperating energy during deceleration.
A higher seating position, large windows and a tall roofline create a light and airy cabin atmosphere. Standard features include Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and 5G connectivity, ensuring seamless integration of navigation, streaming and charging management.
Pre-conditioning functionality allows drivers to heat or cool the cabin while the vehicle is still plugged in — improving both comfort and energy efficiency before departure.
Electric drivetrains inherently require less maintenance than combustion engines. The E-Tourneo Courier is scheduled for routine servicing only every two years, regardless of mileage. In addition, over-the-air software updates enable new features and performance improvements without a dealership visit.
Via the Ford app, drivers can remotely check battery status, locate the vehicle, lock or unlock doors and receive maintenance alerts such as tyre pressure warnings.
