On August 1, Eefje Pompen (formerly Dikker) took up her new position as member of the Executive Board and Director of Human Resources at enercity AG. After studying communication sciences in Nijmegen, Pompen began her career in 1996 as a trainee at Mercedes-Benz AG. Until 2014, she held various management positions within the Daimler Group, including Head of Global Executive HR and Head of Compensation, Benefits & HR Policies. She then founded a recruitment agency for female executives in the Netherlands. In 2017, she took over as head of human resources at Athlon International B.V., Daimler Mobility’s fleet management specialist based in Amsterdam. Since April 2023, Eefje Pompen has been Head of Global HR Transformation, Digitization & Operations at Mercedes-Benz Group. Prior to that, she was a member of the Daimler HR Executive Committee and Labor Director at Daimler Mobility AG since 2020. Before becoming Labor Director, the Dutch national headed the company’s Human Resources department since June 2019.
With Pompen’s appointment, the executive board of the Hanover-based energy company now has a female majority for the first time in its history – and is also more international than ever before. With Frenchwoman Aurélie Alemany as CEO and Dutch-born Pompen, two-thirds of the top management team are now women. This sends a clear signal that enercity is committed to leading the way as a top company in terms of diversity and inclusion.
