hydrogen & Fuel Cell Conference 2020: Speaker: Stefanie Beck, Policy Advisor – TOYOTA

Hydrogen as part of TOYOTA’s Mobility Strategy

Toyota has been dedicated to hybrid technology for more than 30 years and launched the first hybrid model Prius 20 years ago. The Japanese market relied on alternative drive trains much earlier than others. The same applies to hydrogen: Toyota has been working continuously on the fuel cell technology since 1992. Its developments resulted into the production of our first series model – the Toyota Mirai – which we have launched in 2014. Hydrogen and its applications and possibilities offers a very wide range of solutions on the way towards a decarbonised society.
