Kia Germany has appointed Martin Stier as Director Product Management & Marketing, filling a management position that has been vacant for some time. The 43-year-old has extensive experience in automotive marketing, brand strategy and service management and is very familiar with Kia, having held various positions at the brand’s European headquarters in recent years. In his new role at Kia Germany, he will report directly to Managing Director Thomas Djuren. Stier began his professional career at Volkswagen Group Australia Pty Ltd in 2010 after completing a degree in business administration at the University of Mannheim. In 2012, as Global Communications Manager at Volkswagen AG, he took over the interface between Volkswagen’s central marketing communications and the local units in North and South America, including the USA and Brazil. In this role, he supported the markets in the local adaptation of marketing communications and planning and managed the development of international launch campaigns. In 2014, Stier moved to Kia Europe in Frankfurt as Manager Brand Strategy, where he was promoted to Senior Manager Service Marketing in 2017 and finally to General Manager Service Marketing in 2020. In these positions, he played a key role in the further development of Kia’s European brand strategy, led the digitalisation of the service experience and was responsible for managing and developing the parts and accessories business as well as implementing e-commerce strategies in the end customer business.
