Since January 1, Sjoerd Knipping has taken on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) Kia Europe. In addition to continuing Kia’s growth path based on the rapid electrification of the brand’s product range, his responsibilities will also include the new PBV business unit. Knipping has been active in the European automotive industry for more than 25 years. After various national and international management positions at Ford Motor Company, where he also gained experience in the commercial vehicle business, Knipping joined Kia Netherlands as Commercial Director in 2011. In 2021, he was initially appointed Director of Product and Pricing and Managing Director of Kia Connect GmbH at Kia Europe before taking on the position of Vice President Product & Marketing there in 2022.
Also on January 1, 2025, Pablo Martinez Masip will take over the role of Vice President Product & Marketing at Kia Europe. He has over 20 years of international experience in the automotive industry, working in various areas such as research and development, customer service and product management at leading companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Chrysler. Since joining Kia in 2010, he has held key leadership positions in product planning, pricing and connected services in Europe. In 2021, Martinez Masip took on the role of Global Vice President of Customer Experience at Kia’s global headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, where he successfully led initiatives to improve Kia’s global customer experience strategy and strengthened the brand’s customer-centric approach and digital transformation efforts.
