The etu represents a completely new way to experience urban space: just two wheels, an enclosed passenger cell, and an incomparable feeling of lightness, agility, and dynamism—a “street surfer” for two that glides through the city at speeds of up to 90 km/h with a range of up to 400 kilometers. All this at an attractive price below 25,000 euros. Production of the revolutionary street surfer—2.2 meters long, 1.8 meters wide, and 1.5 meters high—is planned for 2031. True to the vision of its developer, Wolfgang Podleiszek, CEO of Wolf eMobility (Austria) and, for 14 years, head of the German vehicle developer “Serienreif”: “Climate-friendly mobility only works if it inspires. If it excites, touches, and captivates people. That’s exactly why we built the etu. No greenwashing, but genuine sustainability through technological progress that guarantees pure driving fun.”
Manufactured from sustainable, locally sourced materials, the etu meets the highest safety standards while remaining light and agile. The portable battery can be conveniently charged at any household outlet—no longer dependent on public charging infrastructure. The etu moves intuitively through narrow alleyways, with motorcycle-inspired steering, and slips effortlessly into any parking space—thanks to innovative stand-and-rotate technology. The result is an entirely new, almost physical connection between driver and road. Every corner becomes a sensual experience, as the passenger cell actively leans with the driver in any direction. The dynamics? Pure emotion—enhanced by an active suspension and individually controllable via the etu app. Navigation, infotainment, community—everything is smart and intuitive via an integrated tablet. This is where urban lifestyle merges with technology that doesn’t distract, but accompanies.
The etu seeks to answer one of the most pressing questions of our time: How will we move through our cities in the future? Cleanly, efficiently, intelligently—and with maximum driving pleasure. The etu is much more than just a vehicle project. It is the vision of a new urban mobility, full of emotion, driving dynamics, and green technological progress. With this unique concept, Wolf eMobility aims to win investors and partners for a shared goal: entering a market with multi-billion potential—and the opportunity to make mobility history. The targets are clearly defined: 0.24% European market share by 2035, 0.16% worldwide by 2040. That may sound small—but in a rapidly changing multi-billion market, it means more than 6 billion euros in revenue by 2036. So far, 1 million euros have already been invested in this vision; a further 78 million euros are planned to bring the etu into series production. Renowned partners are already on board, including KTM and Wolf eMobility’s sister company, the German vehicle developer Serienreif, with whom the first etu prototype is to be realized by 2027.
“The time is ripe for this revolution in urban mobility,” says Podleiszek. “Over the next 15 years, thousands of cities worldwide—home to 5.3 billion people—will be transformed into CO₂-free, energy-efficient smart cities. From 2035, only zero-emission vehicles will be permitted in the EU; by 2040, this will apply to more than 60 countries worldwide. The etu is made exactly for that: the right solution at the right time.”
