Effective June 1, 2022, Martin Sander has been appointed General Manager Ford Model e for Ford in Europe. The new global Ford Model e division was announced in early 2022 as part of a global restructuring of Ford. Martin Sander, in his role as General Manager Ford Model e, Europe, leads the development of future electric vehicles as well as the development of software and services for connected vehicles. At the same time, Martin Sander is appointed CEO of the German Ford-Werke GmbH. Sanders is based in Cologne, the headquarters of the European division Ford Model e and the German Ford-Werke GmbH. Ford recently doubled its investment in building the Cologne Electrification Center to $2 billion and announced nine battery-electric vehicles for 2024. Starting next year, Ford will be producing the company’s first all-electric passenger cars in Europe in Cologne. https://media.ford.com
