Kunihiro Shishima will head Mazda Motor Europe’s European Research and Development Center in Oberursel, Hesse, as Vice President and General Manager. The 51-year-old Japanese national succeeds Yasunori Takahara, who held the position since April 2023. Kunihiro Shishima began his career at Mazda Motor Corporation in 1999 and held various positions focusing on the development of vehicle environmental performance. Since 2023, he has been General Manager of Driveability and Environmental Performance Development at Mazda’s headquarters in Hiroshima, Japan.
