Together with the energy supplier E.ON, Zurich Insurance is extending the mobility guarantee for electric cars to all of Europe. E.ON Drive customers can use the round-the-clock service if, due to an event through no fault of their own, the battery charge in their e-car is not sufficient to reach the next charging station. After the introduction in August last year, the 24/7 protection now brings e-car drivers extra relaxation when traveling in Europe.
Zurich’s mobility guarantee includes transport to the nearest charging station throughout Europe – no matter how far the journey was. The service helps in situations over which the driver has no influence, such as a sudden, very long traffic jam or blocked charging stations – without excess and independent of the electric car manufacturer or car insurer. The service can even be used in a rental car.
Anyone who uses an E.ON e-mobility tariff can book the E.ON Drive e-mobility guarantee and use the assistance service directly throughout Europe. There is no minimum distance from the place of residence. www.zurich.de
