MunichExpo and eMove360° Europe 2017 to Excel the 2016 Revenue Two Months before this Year’s Event

At an early stage, precisely two months before the opening of eMove360° Europe 2017 – International Trade Fair for Mobility 4.0 – electric – connected – autonomous, MunichExpo has already excelled the revenue of the entire trade fair year 2016.

„Two months ahead of the opening, this is a very promising sign. Usually we see a large number of bookings specifically at this time of the year. Therefore, we think that it is safe to say that we will see a revenue growth of about 20 to 40 per cent”, said Robert Metzger, Managing Director of MunichExpo.

He also sees an increase in quality: Electric car pioneer Tesla will be present at the trade fair for the first time. Additionally, MunichExpo has won China as this year’s show’s official partner country. In addition to a huge joint stand that gives innovative Chinese mobility companies the opportunity to present themselves to the community, the country – being one of the most ambitious enablers of electric mobility in the world – will use the platform eMove360° to show it’s colors by hosting various events during the trade fair including a reception at the trade fair forum on the opening day. Korea, Taiwan, Italy, Slovenia and the Netherlands have also booked large joint stands. The share of international exhibitors is now more than 40 per cent.

Renowned research organizations like the Austrian Institute of Technology and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) have confirmed their attendance, Energy and Charging Infrastructure companies like ABB, ABL Sursum, Delta, Phoenix Contact, Tokheim and Walther-Werke strive to generate new business opportunities at the trade fair. Germany’s leading utility companies Uniper (E.ON), Oldenburg-based EWE and innogy (RWE) are all among the exhibitors, too. Technology providers like BPW Bergische Achsen-Werke, Jungheinrich, Mahle, Schwarz and Valeo have already booked their stands. The topics Automated Driving, Electronics and Information Technology will be represented by AME Applied Micro Electronics, Bals, Deutsche Telekom, ERNI, Frictins, Greenspider, Hubject, ITT Cannon, Lapp and Stäubli. The trade fair focus area Materials & Engineering, emerged from the MATERIALICA trade fair, also saw a notable growth this year: Well-known exhibitors like CeramTec, Henkel, Isovolta, Krempel, Neuman Aluminium, Quadrant, Sapa, Schunk Carbon Technologies or Wieland will present their innovations at eMove360° Europe 2017.

Other big names like Brose, Continental, Daimler, ebm-papst, Magna, Nissan, Robert Bosch, Rolls Royce Marine or Schaeffler can be added to this list. They have handed in their submissions for either the eMove360° Award for Electric Mobility & Autonomous Driving or the MATERIALICA Design + Technology Award. Also joined the competition have renowned research organizations like the Fraunhofer IVI or the Dutch TU Delft as well as small innovative companies like UK-based WiTricity local companies like EBGCompleo, FRICT.ins or Volabo. Both awards are open for applications until August, 31.

Along with the trade fair the international conference World Mobility Summit will be held – in English language – for the third time this year. For the first time it will see speakers from five continents. They come from international companies and organizations like ABB, DLR, United Nations, BMW, Cadillac, IBM, Henkel, Infineon, UK Government, Schneider Electric, Volvo Trucks, Johnson Controls, Linde and SAP.
