Like the BMW Group, the Swedish premium electric car manufacturer Polestar will show its first Super Bowl commercial during the game on February 13, 2022. The 30-second spot will air during the first quarter of the game and was previously announced by the company in a 15-second teaser. This is the first time Polestar has advertised during an internationally recognized and respected sporting event. The spot focuses on Polestar’s corporate ethos – “No compromises” – and the presentation of the all-electric Polestar 2. As with its products, Polestar in the commercial dispenses with the traditional advertising language and throws in typical phrases found at sporting events of this magnitude, over board. In line with Polestar’s minimalist brand identity, the spot is kept visually simple. On the other hand, the message conveyed by keywords in white letters on a black background is expressive.
