Polestar announces partnership with Matthias Schweighöfer
Swedish electric car manufacturer Polestar announces a partnership with actor and director Matthias Schweighöfer. The partnership kicks off with a jointly produced short film, which will be shown on September 8th at the world premiere of the Polestar 5. Shot in Gothenburg, Polestar’s headquarters, the film bears the signature of Schweighöfer and the Polestar team. It aims to creatively highlight the benefits of electric mobility and criticize the current political and industrial shift toward combustion technology. The Polestar 5 is presented as a solution for a more sustainable future.
Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, explains: “Polestar stands for bold ideas, progressive technology, and a clear stance. With Matthias Schweighöfer, we are making these very values even more visible and raising awareness for the important discourse surrounding electric mobility.”
Schweighöfer, who is passionate about design and silence, emphasizes: “Together with Polestar, I want to develop a new perspective on mobility – inspired by cinematic experiences. It’s about atmosphere, movement, and emotions. The Polestar 5 shows me a completely new kind of mobility.” On November 13, Schweighöfer will celebrate the German premiere of the film “THE LIFE OF WISHES,” which will take place in Munich on November 13.
