Quantron AG: Insolvency administrator examines chances of continuing business operations

Quantron AG, a platform provider of sustainable battery-electric and hydrogen-electric mobility for lorries and buses, has been in provisional insolvency proceedings for around two weeks. The Augsburg Local Court has appointed lawyer Constantin Graf Salm-Hoogstraeten from the restructuring law firm BBL as the provisional insolvency administrator for the company’s assets. Together with his team, he will now analyse the company’s situation. ‘We first need to get a precise picture of the figures and the situation on the ground before we can make any reliable statements about the company’s chances of continuing as a going concern,’ says Salm-Hoogstraeten. His team is currently also looking into the possibility of organising pre-financing of insolvency benefits for the employees.

The founder, Andreas Haller, is in rehabilitation following his recent heart attack in September 2024. The company is currently managed by Beate Reimann, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) since the beginning of February 2024, Rene Wollmann, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since April 2023, and Denis Muratov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Interim CEO. Muratov is Managing Partner at Fund4SE (Fund For Sustainability & Energy) and has led a large number of development projects for industries such as transport, telecommunications, FinTech and venture capital over the past three decades.

During the ongoing period, business operations will be maintained and customers and partners will continue to be supported with the greatest possible commitment. Quantron was founded in July 2019 as a spin-off of Haller GmbH & Co. KG. and currently employs around 90 people.
