Renault Group: Philippe Krief new Chief Technology Officer

As of September 1, Philippe Krief will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer of the Renault Group, in parallel with his current responsibilities at the Alpine brand. He will succeed Gilles Le Borgne, who has been appointed to a strategic advisory role to the CEO. A graduate of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Techniques Avancées, Philippe Krief has worked on a wide range of models, from the B-segment to multi-million euro vehicles. After joining Michelin, he continued his career at the Fiat Group before moving to Ferrari and then Maserati, where he was Head of the Vehicle Department and Technical Director of the Alfa Romeo brand respectively. In June 2016, Philippe Krief returned to Ferrari and took on the role of Director of Engineering. On February 21, 2023, he was appointed Director of Engineering and Product Performance for the Alpine brand before becoming CEO. There, Krief has dedicated the last 12 months to the implementation of the brand strategy and the launch of the new Alpine vehicle range, epitomized by the A290 and the forthcoming GT crossover. With him, the brand has also accelerated the development of its next platform, dedicated to high-performance 100% electric vehicles. At its instigation, Alpine has committed itself to hydrogen propulsion with the Alpenglow Hy4 prototype, a true demonstrator of innovative hydrogen engine technology.
