Renault is completely renewing its range of electric commercial vehicles: With the new Kangoo Rapid E-TECH Electric, the French automobile manufacturer is presenting the second generation of the first purely battery-powered compact van in mass production. Its electric drive draws energy from a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 45 kWh, which enables a range of up to 300 kilometers in the WLTP test cycle and can be charged with a wide range of charging capacities and currents. Depending on the version, this also includes fast charging with direct current and a charging capacity of 80 kW. In the course of its update, the Master E-TECH Electric in the class up to 3.5 tons total weight will receive a 52 kWh battery, which enables a practical WLTP range of 200 kilometers. www.renault.de
