With its new Partner Management product, SMART/LAB Innovationsgesellschaft mbh (Smartlab) is expanding its product portfolio to include a centralized solution for organizing and billing B2B charging scenarios. The billing software is designed for energy providers and companies looking to expand their portfolio in a targeted manner. It enables companies to offer third-party businesses with electric fleets and charging infrastructure easy access to electric mobility.
Partner Management helps companies manage B2B relationships, e-fleets, and managed charging infrastructure all in one place. The new feature set brings together use cases from the B2B environment into a single solution, including charging card billing, charging location reimbursement, and reimbursement for home charging.
“With partnermanagement, we are specifically addressing the increasing electrification of fleets and locations in the corporate environment. This provides our customers with a solution that allows them to build and scale this business area without high entry barriers,” explains Jasper Ewers, Head of Product Management at Smartlab. “Thanks to its high degree of automation, partnermanagement particularly alleviates the burden on operational processes in day-to-day business.”
The first version specifically supports companies and energy providers in the automated billing of e-fleets and charging locations. Billing processes can be managed centrally, regardless of whether charging is internal, semi-public, or public. This includes, among other things, consolidated invoices with detailed cost-center breakdowns, as well as overviews of assets, transactions, and billing documents.
In addition to billing, partner management enables the structured organization of companies and user groups. Onboarding connected organizations takes just a few steps. Role-based workflows ensure clear responsibilities, for example for administrators, fleet managers, or location managers. This is complemented by a self-service portal through which connected organizations can independently handle their operational administration.
“We see a clear need in the market for solutions that map complex customer relationships and make them transparent,” says Zeynep Ok, Product Manager at Smartlab. “With partnermanagement, we are responding precisely to these requirements and creating a platform that noticeably reduces the workload for our customers in their day-to-day business.”
partnermanagement is aimed in particular at energy suppliers, municipal utilities, and charging infrastructure operators who collaborate with various business partners, corporate fleets, or location partners. In addition, the software solution addresses companies with multiple in-house e-fleets or charging infrastructure sites that wish to centrally organize their B2B charging processes, bill them transparently, and develop them in a scalable manner.
The release of partner management does not mark the end of development. SMART/LAB plans to release a second version with expanded functionality as early as this year.
