About Burkhard Holder

Burkhard Holder has more than 35 years of strategy and leadership experience from positions in the renewable energy industry, applied research and energy policy initiatives. From 2015 to 2023, he was Managing Director of VDE Renewables GmbH, a global subsidiary of the VDE Group. Prior to that, Mr. Holder held various leadership positions in the VDE Group, the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE), the solar industry, the International Solar Energy Society (ISES). Since November 2023, he has been working as Global Director of Trends, Innovation and International Networks for the VDE Group and advises on energy initiatives.

Burkhard Holder verfügt über mehr als 35 Jahre Strategie- und Führungserfahrung aus Positionen in der Branche der erneuerbaren Energien, der angewandten Forschung und energiepolitischen Initiativen. Von 2015 bis 2023 war er Geschäftsführer der VDE Renewables GmbH, einer globalen Tochtergesellschaft der VDE-Gruppe. Zuvor begleitete Herr Holder verschiedene Führungspo-sitionen in der VDE-Gruppe, dem Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme (ISE), der Solar- industrie sowie der International Solar Energy Society (ISES). Seit November 2023 ist er als Global Director of Trends, Innovation and International Networks für die VDE Gruppe tätig und berät zu Energieinitiativen.
