Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Lienkamp leitet seit 2009 den Lehrstuhl für Fahrzeugtechnik der TUM und forscht auf dem Gebiet der Elektromobilität mit dem Ziel, neue Fahrzeugkonzepte zu erstellen. Außerdem ist er beteiligt am CREATE-Projekt in Singapur. Seinem Maschinenbaustudium an der TU Darmstadt und Cornell University folgte die Promotion an der TU Darmstadt (1995). Nach einem internationalen Traineeprogramm bei Volkswagen und einem Aufenthalt im damaligen Joint Ven-ture zwischen Ford und Volkswagen in Portugal leitete er den Bremsenversuch in der Nutzfahrzeu-gentwicklung in Wolfsburg. Später war er Hauptabteilungsleiter für die Forschung „Elektronik und Fahrzeug“ in der Konzernforschung der Volkswagen AG.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Lienkamp has headed the Chair of Automotive Engineering at TUM since 2009 and conducts research in the field of electromobility with the aim of creating new vehicle concepts. He is also involved in the CREATE project in Singapore. His mechanical engineering studies at TU Darmstadt and Cornell University were followed by a doctorate at TU Darmstadt (1995). After an international trainee program at Volkswagen and a stay at the then joint venture between Ford and Volkswagen in Portugal, he headed brake testing in commercial vehicle development in Wolfsburg. Later, he was the main de-partment head for “Electronics and Vehicle“ research in Volkswagen AG‘s Group Research.
