About Thorsten Tegetmeyer-Kleine
Thorsten Tegetmeyer-Kleine is Deputy Head of the Artificial Intelligence for Batteries (AIB) section at the Center for Ageing, Reliability, and Lifetime Prediction of Electrochemical and Power Electronic Systems (CARL), RWTH Aachen University, and a Research Associate at RWTH’s Chair for Electrochemical Energy Conversion and Storage Systems (ISEA). He holds an M.Sc. (2021) and a B.Sc. (2018) in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Technical Computer Science from RWTH Aachen.
He was an AI Software Developer, focusing on real-time computer vision for industrial applications. He collaborates closely with academic and industry partners.
Thorsten’s work bridges deep learning, computer vision, and embedded systems to accelerate the digitalization of battery technology, covering data-driven diagnostics and state estimation, robust edge deployment, and MLOps for scalable research. Within ISEA-AIB he develops AI-based solutions for energy storage systems.
