About Yves Depondt
Yves Depondt studied Business Economics in Brussels and Italy and earned a Master’s degree from the
renowned Vlerick Business School.
He is a seasoned automotive executive with over 20 years of experience at leading OEMs and mobility
innovators, driving sales, business development, and strategic growth initiatives across Europe and China.
Most recently, as Head of New Business Development & Sales at Pininfarina, Yves led the company’s global expansion in the automotive sector with a strong focus on electrification and the Chinese market.
Earlier, he held senior positions in the petrochemical sector and at Tesla and Volvo Cars, building deep
expertise in sales leadership, dealer operations, and EV rollout strategies.
As founder and investor of Chargeo, they support corporate clients in their EV transition through tailored
strategies for fleet electrification, charging infrastructure, total cost of ownership optimization, sales
models, import strategies, branding, positioning, and training.
Launched in 2021 after a senior career at Tesla, Chargeo began by supplying nearly new EVs via flexible
short-term leasing and has grown into a trusted consultancy for sustainable mobility.
Among Chargeo’s international clients are renowned OEMs, aftersales suppliers and energy players,
including Jaguar Land Rover, LKQ, Luminus, BNP Paribas Arval Leasing, and Munich Consulting Group.
A passionate automotive enthusiast. Outside of work, Yves enjoys challenging sports such as skiing, kitesurfing, and orienteering.
Fluent in five languages, Yves leverages his international network and negotiation skills to forge long-term partnerships and deliver sustainable mobility solutions.
