Technology for the production of functionalized composite structures with complex shaped hollow profiles (FuPro)
As part of the “FuPro” joint project, the partners have developed a technology along the entire value chain from filament to component with which, for the first time, hollow profiles with continuous fibre flow can be integrated into a hybrid injection moulding structure. This results in highly stressable structural components with which the potential in terms of lightweight design and materials can be optimally exploited. The resulting manufacturing process with only two tools is trend-setting in terms of resource efficiency and economy. The high application potential of this technology was confirmed by a demonstrator in the form of a belt integral backrest structure.
Im Rahmen des Verbundprojektes „FuPro“ haben Projektpartner entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette vom Filament bis zum Bauteil eine Technologie entwickelt, mit der sich erstmals Hohlprofile mit kontinuierlichem Faserverlauf in eine hybride Spritzgussstruktur integrieren lassen. So entstehen hochbelastbare Strukturbauteile, mit denen das Potential hinsichtlich konstruktivem und werkstofflichem Leichtbau optimal ausgeschöpft werden kann. Der realisierte Herstellungsprozess mit nur zwei Werkzeugen ist hinsichtlich Ressourceneffizienz und Wirtschaftlichkeit zukunftsweisend. Das hohe Anwendungspotential der
Technologie wurde durch einen Demonstrator in Form einer Gurt-Integral-Lehnenstruktur nachgewiesen.
