Textile Design Engineering product “Revival Fiber“, designed by Swetlana Koch, is a product made from surplus rovings and recycled wool to pursue the zero-waste philosophy. Pockets are attached to the felt to be able to store items, with integrated lighting, which lights up when the respective bag is pressed, serves to be able to find everything again even in the dark without distracting the driver. The shaping substrate, consisting of hemp fibers and a natural binder, corn starch, gives the felt surface support. The shape can be varied by heat and pressure to interesting haptic impulses. This textile sustainable design solution by Swetlana Koch, made of hemp fibers is also used in the door panels of cars.

Das nachhaltige Sandwich Design „Revival Fiber“, von Swetlana Koch, wurde aus überschüssigen Vorgarnen und recycelter Wolle kreiert, um der Zero-Waste Philosophie nachzugehen. Auf dem Filz werden Taschen angebracht, um Gegenstände verstauen zu können. Die zusätzliche Beleuchtung, die durch das Andrücken der jeweiligen Tasche aufleuchtet, dient dazu, im Dunkeln alles wiederzufinden, ohne die/den Fahrer:in, zu blenden oder abzulenken. Der formgebende Untergrund aus Hanffasern
und Maisstärke, einem natürlichen Bindemittel, verleiht der Filzfläche eine haptisch reizvolle Form, die durch Hitze und Druck beliebig variiert werden kann. Das textile nachhaltige Design ‚Revival Fiber‘ von Swetlana Koch findet ihren Einsatz ebenso in der Türverkleidung der Autos.
