Kenara Surfaces
kenara surfaces is an innovative material concept for bio-based automotive interiors that unlocks the potential of kenaf as an underutilized natural fiber. By developing hybrid yarns and woven textile structures combining kenaf and wool, the project creates sustainable surface materials with distinctive tactile qualities and functional performance. Developed as a master student research project in Textile Design Engineering, kenara surfaces demonstrates the potential of kenaf for future automotive applications while contributing to the diversification of future fiber resources and more resource-efficient material systems
Kenara Surfaces
