In 2018, SUNCAR HK Switzerland won the eMove360° Award in the category Vehicles with its pioneering e-excavator fleet.
The fleet comprised three battery-electric models – the TB216E, TB260E and TB1140E, ranging from 2 to 16 tonnes. With synchronous axial-flux motors, lithium-ion batteries and the original Takeuchi hydraulic systems, they offered operating times of up to eight hours – without local emissions and with significantly reduced noise.
At the time, SUNCAR described it as the world’s first wireless battery-powered e-excavator fleet. Eight years later, the story has continued: SUNCAR AG has developed into a specialist for the electrification of construction machinery, commercial and municipal vehicles, pursuing its vision: “Full Performance – Zero Emissions.”
That is exactly what the eMove360° Award is about: identifying innovations early that have the potential to shape the future of mobility.
