In 2020, TEAMOBILITY GmbH won the eMove360° Award for Electric & Autonomous Mobility in the category Mobility Concepts & Services with its innovative UCCON – Universal Chassis for Customized Operations and New Mobility ecosystem.
The concept of Prof. Johann H. Tomforde and his team addressed challenges that are more relevant than ever today: How can urban vehicles become lighter, more flexible, more sustainable and better adapted to different applications?
UCCON’s answer was a universal lightweight rolling chassis combined with a modular vehicle body and interior system. The platform was designed for zero-emission powertrains, low vehicle weight with high payload, compact dimensions and future autonomous driving.
Another remarkable aspect was its lifecycle approach: instead of replacing the complete vehicle, individual modules could be refreshed, retrofitted or upcycled – while the lightweight structure and electric drivetrain were conceived for a service life of at least 25 years.
The project shows what the eMove360° Award has always been about: identifying technologies and mobility concepts early that have the potential to shape the future.
Could your innovation be one of the next eMove360° Award winners?
Applications for the eMove360° Award for Electric & Autonomous Mobility 2026 are still possible until August 31, 2026.
