The modded cars the Great Houses from Game of Thrones would totally drive

The new season of Game of Thrones won’t air until the summer. And though we can’t offer you any sneak previews and exclusives to reign in the eager anticipation, we can offer our fellow fans some GoT action.

Here at Carspring, we’ve imagined what each of the houses in Game of Thrones would drive if they had the chance to emerge through a wormhole into our world. As you’ll soon see, all of the houses had plenty of money, and plenty of imagination! From House Frey’s monstrous 4×4, to House Lannister’s gold-plated BMW 3 Series, there are some serious beasts across the kingdoms…

House Arryn’s Fast, Ferocious i8

Littlefinger is firmly in charge of House Arryn, with Robin not yet old enough. Though with Littlefinger’s personality, Robin might never get chance to rule House Arryn. Petyr Baelish’s choice of vehicle is of little surprise then. This sleek, rapid BMW i8 has been modded to look and travel even faster on its all-electric power. Truly embodying the white falcon. And its strengthened body is a surefire way to avoid attacks (if they could catch this elusive character in the first place!). Littlefinger’s ruthlessness and cunning with his choice of car might just keep the man from nothing in power at House Arryn for a long time to come!

House Frey’s Indestructible F-150 Raptor

The death of Walder Frey and his two sons, and the uncertainty of the Lordship in House Frey after the Battle of the Bastards, calls for strength and might. Little wonder the car of choice is a highly modified Ford F-150 Raptor. The standard F-150 is already one of the toughest cars on the market, but House Frey have made it even stronger. Its impenetrable windscreen, all-terrain chassis, and armour plating make this F-150 ready to withhold any further attacks from Arya Stark between the two towers (no matter how much we love her!).

House Greyjoy’s Nautical DS5

The House of Greyjoy is divided, but both factions use the same car. Enter the highly modified DS5, used by both Euron, and Yara and Theon. The high-tech DS5 has been fitted with an aerodynamic, mean looking body kit, and the front splitter with its garing teeth reflects the harsh, bleak life on the islands. The shark fin also adds a tough, nautical touch, allowing the Greyjoy DS5 to travel easily through water. A solid addition to the naval fleet for definite. We don’t know the outcome of the war yet, but one thing is for sure, this modified DS5 won’t let either side down in the bleak reality of House Greyjoy. Who knows, maybe using the same car might bring the family back together?

House Lannister’s Golden 3 Series

House Lannister is the richest house in Game of Thrones, and boy do they like to show it. This BMW 3 Series used by House Lannister is a perfect example. With its garish body and huge oversized alloy wheels, it isn’t a car that screams modesty. But then this is House Lannister after all. Draped in gold leaf, fresh from the gold mines, it’s also a symbol of House Lannister’s industry. The rulers of the Westerlands won’t be short of speed either, with the 3.0 V6 engine lifted from the BMW M3 fitted, and aerodynamic styling, the de facto royal ride of choice is one of the most rapid of all the houses. In this world, just like ours, money can get you places, and quickly it seems!

House Stark’s 3008 Winter Edition

The King in the North, Jon Snow, has just returned from the disastrous Second Battle of Winterfell, so some downsizing is in order. The Peugeot 3008 that House Stark use is a good reflection of the smaller family unit. This 3008 is no ordinary small family crossover though. The huge wheels, and spiked tyres, are not only mean-looking, they’re also ideally suited to roaming across the wintry lands. The armoured plating on the body should also come in handy for when Bran Stark returns too. After all, “Winter is coming…”.

House Tyrell’s Sensible Supermini

The symbol of House Tyrell might be a rose, but as any Game of Thrones fan knows, there are thorns between the flowers. Likewise, House Tyrell’s Vauxhall Adam also has a sting in its tail. It might be a small hatch, but the modifications make it a match for the other houses. That House Tyrell has chosen such a sensible vehicle is indicative of the family cohesion in the House. But with a more powerful engine, a redesigned body, and a sports exhaust sticking out the rear bumper, all is not as it first appears. This Adam packs a punch – well-suited to the leaders of the lush vastness of the Reach.

House Targaryen’s Ferocious X5

The former Great House of Westeros and ruler of the house of seven kingdoms may have been deposed during Robert’s Rebellion. But as it is sailing to Westeros to take back the seven kingdoms, it needs a car that is fierce, strong, and dominant. The house of the three fire breathing dragons has a car that is a beast in all three respects. The BMW X5 is a dominant car in its earthly guise, but with its angular, modified body, and its fire breathing supercharged engine, House Targaryen’s X5 is utterly commanding. Whether they manage to retake all seven kingdoms is still a question yet to be answered. But with House Targaryen’s modded X5, they certainly have the equipment on hand.
