Peter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and Hui Zhang, Vice President of NIO Europe Office, jointly announced that the NIO Power Europe plant will start operations in September in the Pest administrative district (Pest Megye).
With a floor area of approximately 10,000 square meters, the NIO Power Europe plant will be NIO’s first factory outside the People’s Republic of China. In addition to production, it will also serve as a service, research and development center for NIO’s power products in Europe, and will mainly deal with the manufacturing and after-sales service of battery swap stations, training for power operations in Europe, and research and development of power products. The startup will further improve the deployment and service efficiency of NIO Power in Europe and provide a better user experience for European users.
After entering the Norwegian market, NIO will expand its products and comprehensive services to Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands in the second half of the year. The operation of the NIO Power Europe plant will further drive the construction of NIO Power Swap stations in these countries and provide a solid foundation for local battery swap and charging services. www.nio.com
