Volocopter has signed a memorandum of understanding with Euro Flight Test (EFT) to offer the world’s first training courses for eVTOL pilots. The partnership aims to set new standards in the training of electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) pilots and promote their competence in handling this pioneering technology. The training programs, developed in collaboration between Volocopter and EFT, cover several key areas of eVTOL operations. The courses include:
David Bausek, CTO of Volocopter, commented on the collaboration: “We are thrilled to partner with Euro Flight Test to offer these groundbreaking training courses. Given the growth of urban air mobility, it is crucial to have well-trained pilots who are familiar with eVTOL technology. This collaboration will help set a new standard for eVTOL pilot training worldwide.”
Euro Flight Test, known for its expertise in training test pilots and flight test engineers, brings its extensive experience to the partnership. “This collaboration with Volocopter represents an important milestone for the aviation industry,” said Peter Hemmert, Managing Director of EFT. “Together, we will provide pilots with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate eVTOL aircraft and shape the future of urban air mobility.”
Thanks to its many years of experience in professional flight training and a wide range of test aircraft, Euro Flight Test is the ideal partner to drive this initiative forward and take eVTOL pilot training to a new level.
