We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr.-Ing. Andreas Daberkow,
Heilbronn University,
as a speaker at eMove360° Europe 2026.
🔹 Talk title:
“From Driver to Energy Citizen – Understanding Energy in Modern Mobility”
🔹 Session focus: Energy literacy · E-Mobility · Society & Technology
The transition to carbon-neutral mobility is not only a technological challenge — it is a societal and cultural transformation.
In his talk, Prof. Daberkow addresses a central yet often overlooked question:
👉 How can private vehicle users make informed, meaningful decisions in an increasingly complex energy and mobility landscape?
Based on an 88-page Energy & Mobility Guide developed for technically interested citizens and practitioners, the presentation introduces an accessible but technically sound framework for energy literacy in everyday mobility. Core energy concepts are translated into practical reference values — from household consumption and vehicle energy demand to national-scale impacts.
A key element are nine real-world e-mobility case studies, showing how drivers of different ages, vehicle types, and usage profiles actively engage with their energy consumption — achieving substantial reductions without sacrificing mobility. Comparisons with lightweight EVs, pedelecs, and walking further contextualize individual choices within a broader mobility ecosystem.
By bridging expert knowledge with real-world experience, this contribution supports the evolution from driver to informed energy citizen — empowering individuals to actively participate in the mobility and energy transition.
