Bronto Skylift, a Finnish manufacturer of aerial rescue platforms and aerial work platforms, and Designwerk Technologies are presenting the first fully electric e-truck with an aerial work platform and a maximum working height of 56 metres at Bauma in Munich. In close cooperation with Rohr AG, a leading Swiss provider of professional cleaning services, and Designwerk Technologies AG, a Swiss pioneer in electromobility, Bronto Skylift has developed an electrically powered aerial work platform in combination with an all-electric truck. This innovative solution combines the proven reliability and performance of Bronto aerial work platforms with the advantages of an emission-free and quiet drive. Rohr AG intends to use the all-electric solution primarily for demanding façade and window cleaning work in urban areas, thereby significantly reducing its ecological footprint. “Our electric lorry meets our customers’ desire to reduce the use of fossil fuels. It also reduces noise pollution. In a conventional vehicle, the diesel engine is constantly running and makes a lot of noise. The electric lorry is very quiet, which increases both the comfort of our employees and the comfort on our customers’ construction sites,” concludes Dörge.
