XPENG: AI strategy upgrade for mobility of the future

XPENG has unveiled a forward-looking update to its company-wide strategy: the AI Tech Tree. This new technological guideline combines artificial intelligence (AI), energy solutions and embodied intelligence – with the aim of creating a networked ecosystem of intelligent electric vehicles, humanoid robots and flying cars. With this vision, XPENG is setting a new benchmark for mobility in the next decade – intelligent, sustainable and connected. XPENG is the first Chinese car manufacturer to bring large-scale AI models into its vehicles as standard. The centrepiece is the self-developed AI Turing chip with a 40-core processor that can process up to 30 billion parameters locally – making it three times more powerful than conventional chips. This chip is not only used in electric vehicles, but also in humanoid robots and future flying cars.

World premiere of the flying car and humanoid robot ‘IRON’
XPENG also presented the world’s first modular flying car: the XPENG AEROHT Land Aircraft Carrier. Planned market launch: 2026. 4,000 pre-orders have already been placed. XPENG also presented the humanoid robot ‘IRON’, which is equipped with 60 joints, 200 degrees of freedom and a 720-degree AI perception system. The robot can perform complex tasks in industry and retail, for example.
